Creative Movement is a joyful and engaging introduction to dance for young children, designed to nurture imagination, build physical skills, and inspire self-expression through music and movement. In this class, dancers explore body actions that communicate images, ideas, and feelings, helping them connect movement with meaning.

Students will be introduced to foundational elements of Ballet, Jazz, and Acro. They’ll begin to learn basic ballet and jazz terminology, rhythms, and movement patterns while also developing coordination, balance, and strength through age-appropriate acrobatic skills. This class lays the groundwork for a successful dance journey by combining structure, creativity, and fun in a supportive environment.

Our Modern class introduces students to the fundamentals of the Horton technique, blended with elements of Cunningham style, at a beginner-friendly pace. Dancers will explore movements like flat backs, primitive squats, lateral stretches, release swings, leg swings, deep lunges, and T positions, developing strength, control, and fluidity.

The Horton technique, known for its strong, linear movements, combined with Cunningham’s focus on versatility and innovative spatial patterns, provides a well-rounded foundation. 

Our ballet classes focus on building a strong technical foundation through structured training and musicality. Each session begins with a barre warm-up, where students develop proper body alignment, strength, and flexibility through exercises such as pliés, tendus, and rond de jambe.

Following barre, dancers move to the center, practicing balance, port de bras (arm movements), and fluid movement sequences to improve control and grace. The class concludes with across-the-floor progressions, where students travel using basic ballet steps like glissades, jetés, and assemblés to enhance coordination and spatial awareness.

• Ballet 1: Beginner level for ages 5–7, focusing on foundational skills and French terminology.

• Ballet 2: Intermediate level for ages 7–10, building on technique with more complex combinations and refined movements.

Each level nurtures strength, precision, and artistry to prepare dancers for continued growth in their ballet training.

Our Jazz class focuses on mastering essential dance techniques such as body isolations, enhancing performance quality, and developing complex rhythms and movement patterns. Students will have the opportunity to cultivate and express their natural rhythm, building confidence and style.

In Contemporary dance, students explore a dynamic and expressive style that blends elements from modern, jazz, lyrical, and classical ballet. This versatile genre encourages emotional expression and creativity through fluid, innovative movement.

Both classes provide a strong technical foundation while inspiring artistic growth.
