Katara Phelps is a dedicated professional in Dance and Fine Arts Education, originally from Tampa. She began her dance journey at the age of 7 at Firethorn School of Dance and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Education from Brenau University, amassing nearly 30 years of formal training. Her professional background includes performances with Sesame Street, serving as an ABA cheerleader, and dancing with an ECHL team. Katara has also traveled throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean to collaborate with various artists. Beyond her performance experience, she founded a Caribbean entertainment company aimed at educating children through music, dance, and art in the community. Her commitment to dance education and community involvement is evident in her extensive contributions and leadership in the field.
